NursedCare needed a reliable and secure website for presenting its NDIS care services, disability support programs, home modifications, accommodation options, and consultation pathways. The website serves as an important lead-generation and information platform for people looking for NDIS support services in Sydney and surrounding areas.
The site was built using WordPress with Elementor and the Astra Theme, supported by ACF for custom content management and Rank Math for SEO setup. My role focused on maintaining the website, improving security, and ensuring the site remained safe and functional for visitors.
A major issue I resolved was a malware infection that caused the website to redirect users to suspicious casino and explicit websites. I investigated the redirect behavior, cleaned the infected files, secured the WordPress environment, and restored the website’s normal functionality. After removing the malicious behavior, I strengthened the website’s security setup to reduce the risk of future attacks.
I maintained the website using ManageWP and Wordfence, helping monitor updates, security alerts, and overall site health. I also implemented additional authentication and login protection measures to secure admin access, user logins, and website forms. These improvements helped protect both the website backend and the user-facing enquiry experience.
The final result was a cleaned, secured, and actively maintained WordPress website with stronger protection against malware, unauthorized access, and suspicious redirects.
